What are clubhouse hours?
During the season the clubhouse is open during senior training and on home game days.
What are the costs for the season?
Sign on fees are the main CHICC cost associated for the season. Please go to PlayHQ for more details.
When are season’s fees due by?
Full payment of fees are due by 1st November. If a payment plan is needed, please speak to our club treasurer at treasurer@chicc.net
What gear do I need to play?
All teams are provided with white playing shirts as part of their sign on fees. Long white pants are also needed. Junior players (excluding Junior Blasters and Under 10s) are required to wear a helmet while batting. Those playing on turf need spiked cricket shoes. All other playing equipment is up to the individual.
What are the different team training times?
All training sessions are at the CHICC clubhouse. Our Blasters program is at 4:30pm to 5:30pm on Fridays. Our Under 10s sides train during the week at the coaches discretion. Our junior sides from Under 11s and older train on Wednesdays from 4:30pm to 5:30pm but this may change during the season based on a coaches preference. Our senior sides have training sessions every Monday and Wednesday starting at 5pm and finishing at 7pm (early in the season the start time for training is 4:30pm).
What is the selection policy for senior grades?
Our selection process considers the following factors for all grades:
- Financial
- Training Attendance
- Attitude and Work Ethic
- Behaviour and Supporting the Team
- Availability
- Ability and Form
How do I let people know of my availability?
For junior players, please let your coach know as soon as practical if you will not be available to play. For all seniors, the captains of each team will be checking availability before the game and will let the selection committee know. If circumstances change, please let our senior co-ordinator or your captain know of your availability before Tuesday night’s training at the latest or the captain of the team you were selected in via text message/phone call by 10am Saturday morning.
What happens if I get injured?
All injured players are to fill in and submit an incident report (www.chicc.net/health-and-safety-report) and this will be sent through to our club secretary for follow-up. Please keep in contact with the club at all times during the recovery process.
What if I have issues with my coach/captain?
If there are issues with any junior coach, then please contact the junior co-ordinator. For all senior players, please contact either the senior co-ordinator or club president.
