CHICC MyCricket

Using PlayHQ with MyCricket

When you register with the Coomera Hope Island Cricket Club in either the Junior and/or Senior competitions you need to enrol through PlayHQ. The registration process requires you to link your PlayHQ login with your Cricket ID. When it comes time for you to link your previous cricket statistics you need your Cricket ID connected to your MyCricket ID. Once your Cricket ID and MyCricket ID are connected you should be able to view your historical data on the MyCricket app (this is different to MyCricket Live Score). Once this process is complete you will have three different IDs that make up your cricket registration. They are your PlayHQ ID, Cricket ID and MyCricket ID.

Please note that currently connecting multiple MyCricket IDs to one Cricket ID is not possible. This affects parents who registered their Junior players through their PlayHQ account. This means that at the current time Junior players who were registered through their parents’ PlayHQ account may not have their cricket statistics linked to their previous cricket statistics until this issue is resolved.

It is important to note that because we have transitioned to PlayHQ, MyCricket Live Score will not update MyCricket data if used. To enter live scores of a match, you need to use https://score.playhq.com. You can still use MyCricket Live Score to record a match but that match will not load into MyCricket where the cricket data is stored. One problem with PlayHQ E-score is that you cannot score a non-registered game (like a trial match) and so using MyCricket Live Score would allow you to electronically score if that is what you want to do.

The quick check list of what is needed to make your PlayHQ account connect to your MyCricket stats is below

  1. Have your MyCricket ID verified and available as a current player
  2. Be able to log into your Cricket ID (the one linked to your PlayHQ account)
  3. Log into MyCricket (not MyCricket Live Score) as you

Have your MyCricket ID verified and available as a current player

To make sure everything runs smoothly when you want to access PlayHQ E-scoring or the MyCricket app, the first thing you need to do is make sure your MyCricket player account is active.
You will need to know your MyCricket Id and associated password. To check that your MyCricket ID is available go to https://mycricketadmin.cricket.com.au on your favourite web browser and log in there by using your MyCricket ID and associated password.

If you have forgotten your password click on the ‘Forgotten your password’ link to get this page:

If you do not know your MyCricket Id, find your MyCricket statistics at https://mycricket.cricket.com.au and take note of the number next to ‘player id’. If your name does not appear in MyCricket you need to contact the club or webmaster@chicc.net to set your MyCricket account live.

Once you have logged into MyCricket you may be asked to verify your account as you have not logged in for a while. If that is the case you need to press the link that sends the verification link to your MyCricket email address (‘Click here to generate the email’). The email address that will receive that verification is shown in brackets in the first paragraph shown on the page. If you do not have access to that email address anymore or you wish to change your email address please contact the club (or webmaster@chicc.net) to reset your MyCricket email address.

chicc

Press the verification link in your email and you will be sent an email to your MyCricket email address. Please note that the link your email account received only lasts for 24 hours so do not forget to press the link in time. If you press the link in your email in time you will sent to a page looking like this:

Your MyCricket account has now been validated for the next 6 months. This will allow you to access both of the MyCricket and the MyCricket Live Score apps much easier.

Be able to log into your Cricket ID

Part of the process of linking your MyCricket ID to PlayHQ is to use your Cricket ID that you would have used to register to the club. This Cricket ID is used in two places when it comes to playing cricket with CHICC. The first is registering with CHICC through PlayHQ. The second is with the MyCricket app (which is different to MyCricket Live Score). This app allows you to connect your PlayHQ account with your historical data and once that is done you can use the app to look at your historical record. You will need to know your email address and password associated with your Cricket ID to log into the MyCricket app. If you have forgotten your password for your Cricket ID login, you can either reset your password through the cricket.com.au site (outlined below) or during the process of connecting your MyCricket ID with PlayHQ.

If you have forgotten the email address you used for your Cricket ID you may want to see if any of your normal email addresses are registered with a Cricket ID. You can go to https://www.cricket.com.au/ using your favourite web browser and press the ‘Login’ button on the top right corner of the page.

If you know which password you would have used, put in your email address and password and see if you can log in. If you are unsuccessful but you may not have used the correct password, press the ‘Forgot Password’ link and put in your email address.

chicc

If your email address has a Cricket ID, you will be sent a reset password email otherwise you now know that your email address is not the one used for your Cricket ID. Unfortunately the club does not know which email address you used for your Cricket ID. The club can provide you with your PlayHQ email address you used to register with the club if you are unsure.

Log into MyCricket as you

Unfortunately, as things stand the only way to connect your PlayHQ account with your MyCricket account (and therefore all your statistics from previous seasons) is to log into MyCricket as you. Logging into MyCricket as you will finalise the process of connecting your PlayHQ account and MyCricket account. You should only ever have to do this once and you do not need to use the app specifically on your phone as you can log in from any equipped device and once you are connected you can log out again.

In short, to get everything working you need to log into MyCricket using your Cricket ID and then link your Cricket ID with your MyCricket ID if it is not linked already. Once that is done you will be able to view your historical statistics through the MyCricket app.

Step 1: First thing to do is to get access to the MyCricket app (which is different to MyCricket Live Score). This is a free phone app so you will need access to a mobile phone. If you do not have it on the phone you are using, you can download it using the appropriate store front (Google Play or App Store) and it should be visible when searching for ‘MyCricket’. Make sure it is not the ‘MyCricket Live Score’ app. The icon for the MyCricket app looks like this:

Step 2: Clicking on the installed app can give you three possibilities on what will appear. The differences are that no one has used this app on your device to login yet, someone has logged in before but not currently logged in or someone is still logged in. To continue select the image your MyCricket app resembles the most.

Step 2a: If you see either ‘Hello!’ or ‘Hello Guest!’ and the ‘Claim’ button you can simply press the ‘Claim’ button:

You will be asked to login with your Cricket ID. If you have forgotten your password, press the ‘Forgot password?’ link

chicc

Once logged in jump to step 3.

Step 2b: If you see either ‘Hello!’ or ‘Hello Guest!’ and the top image contains ‘Log in to MyCricket to build a personalised dashboard with player & match cards!’ you will need to login with your Cricket ID. To do that you need to press the icon at the top right of the app:

Now press the ‘Log in to Cricket ID’ link

chicc

You will be asked to login with your Cricket ID. If you have forgotten your password, press the ‘Forgot password?’ link

chicc

A screen showing either ‘Hello (your name)!’ or just ‘Hello!’ (a small feature of the app) will appear with a ‘Claim’ button in the middle of the top section of the screen. Press the ‘Claim’ button.

chicc

Now jump to step 3.

Step 2c: If you see ‘Hello (your name)!’ and the ‘Claim’ button you can simply press the ‘Claim’ button and jump to step 3.

chicc

If you see ‘Hello (name)!’ and that name is not yours, it may mean that someone else has logged into your device’s MyCricket app. You will need to log that person off and log in as yourself. To log off you need to firstly go to the profile page of the person logged in. To do that click on the image at the top right of the app:

chicc

You should see the full name of the person logged in. To log them off click on the ‘Cricket ID’ link.

chicc

Now click on the ‘Log out’ link.

chicc

You should now be back at this screen:

chicc

Now jump back to step 2b to log in as you.

Step 3: You should now be shown a list of names that are compatible with your name or match your email account. If you are listed, press on the appropriate name and jump to step 4. If you are not listed, scroll to the bottom of the app and press the ‘Search again’ link.

chicc

You can now either put in your MyCricket ID directly or search for your name on MyCricket. Press the ‘Find me’ button once you have put in the details you wish to search for.

chicc

If you were successful your name should appear in the next screen. You can press the appropriate name to continue. If you still not listed, your MyCricket account may not be verified. Follow the steps above to verify your MyCricket account.

Step 4: Almost there! You now enter your MyCricket ID password (unless you are still logged in when you were verifying your MyCricket ID account earlier). If you do not know your MyCricket ID password, you should follow the steps mentioned above to verify your MyCricket account.

chicc

Step 5: Once you pass the password stage, you will be asked to verify that you are you. If you are happy that this is you, tick the box next to the Terms and Conditions references and press ‘I AGREE’.

chicc

Step 6: You are now done! You should now have access to your historical data and information of any upcoming matches you have been selected for.

Thank you again for selecting the friendliest club on the Gold Coast, the Coomera Hope Island Cricket Club!
